First pak Movie in Indian Cinema after 4 decades
The Pakistani film ‘Khuda Kay Liye‘, which delves into the rift between radical and liberal Muslims, hits Indian screens this week, the first to have a commercial release in India in more than four decades.
The movie, starring Naseeruddin Shah in a key role is releasing it with 300 prints on April 4. The film has made an impact in Pakistan and abroad and I am confident that it will make an impact here too.”
‘Khuda Kay Liye’ was the first Pakistani film to be included in the official line-up of the International Film Festival of India (IFFI) and it struck an instant chord with audiences when showcased there last year. The film stars Pakistani superstar Shaan, who impresses as the harried protagonist Mansoor, and Rasheed Naz as the Maulana who brainwashes boys. The film also features Pakistan’s top model Iman Ali, who plays Maryam, a woman trapped between modernism and conservatism. Naseeruddin Shah essays a powerful cameo of an Islamic scholar who embodies the voice of reason.

Olga Kurylenko is new Bond girl
Beautiful Soviet spies have been a mainstay of James Bond films but in the past they have usually been portrayed by western actresses.
Here’s the new Bond Girl features in the latest edition of Maxim UK. The sultry Ukrainian beauty will play the leading lady in the 22nd James Bond movie Quantum of Solace, due for release in November. It is the sequel to Casino Royale - which rebooted the series after a four year lull.
The 5ft 8 inch model, who was discovered while on holiday in Moscow when she was 15, lives in Paris and has starred in a number of French television series and films.
The Producers Michael G Wilson and Barbara Broccoli said Camille “challenges Bond and helps him come to terms with the emotional consequences of Vesper’s betrayal”.Daniel Craig will star as the British superspy for the second time.
Kurylenko that she wants to follow in the footsteps of her countrywoman Milla Jovovich who has successfully swapped the catwalk for Hollywood.

Though his reputation has been somewhat tarnished by his opulent retirement package as well as a messy divorce, his “GE Way” of management is still highly regarded. This version is perfect for airport reading, though it delivers little of the struggles and setbacks that must have helped form the backbone of Welch’s wisdom.
Instead we get the platitudes, presented in 29 highly formatted and easy-to-grab chapters. All the instruction is self-evident, told in tiny anecdotes, and followed by a set of “Welch Rules” (“Get the most out of your employees”; “Promote the three ‘S’s’: speed, simplicity, and self-confidence”). There’s food for thought here, but not very much of it. This volume’s selling point-its brevity-is also its downfall: it feels too much like leadership lite.

French’s First Lady, Carla Bruni’s Portrait for Auction
It’s not the look you would normally associate with a First Lady.
And the photographer who captured this image the new Mrs Nicolas Sarkozy - former model Carla Bruni - claims he has photos that are even more explicit.
Christie’s plans to auction a nude portrait of Carla Bruni in New York next month. The picture of France’s first lady was taken more than a decade ago when she was working as a model. The gelatin silver print, made by photographer Michel Comte, shows her standing in a pose that apparently refers to the paintings of Georges Seurat, a French neo-impressionist. Defending its decision to sell the print, the auction house described the third Mrs. Nicolas Sarkozy as “one of the most beautiful women in the world. It’s a work of art. It was shot in 1993 when Miss Bruni was a model, and it’s a tasteful nude portrait executed by a well-known, respectable artist,” a spokeswoman said. A unit member informs, “As part of the prep of the film and ensuring each actor looks terrific, Prashant the trainer of SRK is doing a rigorous training schedule with the ‘Acid Factory’ actors before and during the shoot of the film in Hyderabad.” Says Prashant when contacted, “I was given a brief by Sanjay Gupta about the look that Fardeen had to have in Acid Factory. Sanjay was particular about Fardeen. Besides Fardeen, I am also training Aftab Shivdasani, Danny Denzongpa, Irrfan Khan and Manoj Bajpai.”
Maya, Prashant’s wife, a dietician, is involved in shaping not only Fardeen but also Aftab, Irrfan and Manoj Bajpai too. She used to advise Khan jr on his daily dietary intakes and now she taken over the diet of the Acid Factory actors.
