Taare Zameen Par is directed by debutant director Aamir Khan alongwith Amol Gupte. It will star Aamir Khan in the main lead who will be playing the teacher to a dyslexic child played by Darsheel Safary. The film is expected to release on December 21, 2007.

Darsheel Safary, the center character of Taare Zameen Par is a product of Shiamak Davar’s dance academy SDIPA. He also played Arjun Rampal’s son in Sharukh Khan-starrer Don.
