Laaga Chunari Mein Daag (2007)

‘Laaga Chunari Mein Daag’ is an extraordinary story of a woman, her sacrifice, and her eventual fall from grace.
At the centre of the story are two sisters, Natasha (Rani Mukherjee) and Chutki (Konkona Sen). Apparently, Jaya Bachchan plays their mother while Anupam Kher plays the patriarch of the household. Abhishek Bachchan is Rani’s love interest and Kunal Kapoor is paired with Konkona Sen.

Apparently, the story is about the elder sister’s (Rani’s) downward spiral into amoral life, into prostitution.
